I’d live in Rio with you
Nest in a favela with a view
Samba nights we dance in the
Heat to drum beats
I’d live in Rio with you
I’d live in Tokyo with you
Speed in to Kyoto with you
Spend our Yen at Sky Tree
And then Rikugien, oh
I would live in Tokyo
Chorus
But don’t you tell me
That I would be okay
And don’t you leave me
In Paris or LA
For goodness sake
When I’d live in a forest with you
We would wander under the moon
While the sun is sleeping
The fire’s receding
Oh I’d live in a forest with you
End
Cause I wouldn’t live anywhere
If you weren’t there
Has a very ‘smooth’ feeling, could add some exotic tropical instrumentation for the effect.
Wasn’t sure about this song on first hearing but it definitely grows on you. It would add something a little different to the album. Although it’s called Rio it has a distinctly Parisian feel to it. With an upright bass, brush drums and a Stefan Grapelli style violin or an accordian this would be a beautiful variation for the album.
Not sure what’s missing. It’s actually a beautiful song, so maybe it’s just some backing that’s required.
A gentle contrast to the songs I’ve heard so far. Not sure if this is strong enough for album, though it would be interesting to hear with instrumentation suggested by Graham.
Take your partners please, for a waltz down to Rio with the delightful sounds of Saskia. This would make a good dance track if lengthened with instrumental intro and outro sections.
